Get the biggest creative bang for your buck this holiday by shopping at the Art of Giving, Allied Arts annual holiday exhibit and sale. Purchase beautiful, unique art gifts like pottery, jewelry, glass art, paintings and more; many priced $25 to $100. On Sunday, November 8, you are invited to attend the grand opening celebration for the Art of Giving from 2-4pm (current Allied Arts members can shop from 1-2pm). While you shop, enjoy live holiday music and delicious treats from C&L Catering. Adding to the excitement will be the raffle drawing for actor Kyle MacLachlan's art piece "Twin Peaks" at 3pm. Raffle tickets are still available in the Allied Arts office for just $3! Visit and shop the exhibit through December 16th in the Peggy Lewis Gallery at the Allied Arts Center (5000 W. Lincoln Ave). The gallery is open weekdays from 10:30am to 5pm and Saturdays (November 14th through December 12th) from 11am to 3pm. Over 40 artists will be contributing work to this wonderfully exciting winter show. Items include jewelry, woodwork, paintings, pottery, ornaments, glassware, felted hats and purses, cards, photos, and more; all by local artists including John Barany, Marcia Blevins, Jan Crocker, Gary Dismukes, Sally Fitch, Elizabeth Freitag, Judy Frisbie, Sara Gettys, Brian Holtzinger, Laurie Kanyer, Delma Tayer, Wendy Warren, Lucy Valderhaug, and others.
