The Humphrey Atrium Gallery at University Hospitals announces "Graham French: Disappearing Landscapes," an exhibition of photographs by Toronto artist Graham French. This visual commentary on Earth's fragility consists of large-scale landscapes (black & white and color) representing majestic-yet-endangered regions around the world: Throughout North America, Central and South America, Africa, and beyond. Dates: Aug. 1 - Sept. 29, 2010; open to the public, 8am - 6pm Daily and by appointment. An Opening Reception will take place Aug. 5, 5:00 - 7:00pm and is Free and open to the public.

Flower Pounding with Terri P. Vechery - July 24, 2010, from 1pm - 4pm. This workshop will teach you flower power! Take home art that is ready to frame. Learn how to extract a watercolor-like picture from pounding flowers, grasses and leaves onto specially prepared muslin with a hammer. Single petal flowers work the best. Suggestions to bring to the workshop are; impatiens, petunias, nicotania, buttercups, marigolds, lobelia, pansies, leaves from any tree, ferns and grasses of all shapes and sizes. Questions?
